Finissage: The Out-of-the-way exhibition by Elena Anosova on 15th December, 17:30! FB Link


On 15th December during the finissage at Schilt Gallery Elena will speak about stories and characters from her Out-of-the-way project. She will also present additional materials. 
The presentation starts at 17:30. Out-of-the-way is a story about a settlement in the extreme North of Russia, where bad accessibility and isolation, special relationship with nature and following the centuries-old ways of life involve unique mythology of the region where the fictional things are very often more important than modern reality.

Dear friends, 

It is with great pleasure that we invite you for the opening of the new exhibition Out-of-the-way, by photographer Elena Anosova, at Schilt Gallery, Amsterdam.  

Out-of-the-way is a story about a settlement in the extreme North of Russia, where bad accessibility and isolation, special relationship with nature and following the centuries-old ways of life involve unique mythology of the region where the fictional things are very often more important than modern reality. 

Elena Anosova lives between Moscow and Irkutsk. Her work explores subjects of isolation and borders and has been critically aclaimed by media and institutions worldwide. She is the winner of multiple awards, including LensCulture Exposure Awards and World Press Photo. Her work has been exhibited during group and solo exhibitions in Russia, Japan, China, Turkey, Austria, Italy, GB and USA. She is member of MAPS collective. 

Schilt Publishing & Gallery is extremely proud to show the work of this exceptional talent. 

Elena will be present at this event and will speak about her work.
